Part 4720981 coming soon!
This is very exciting! A local newspaper reporter found me on the internet and he wants to do a feature story on me and my recording studio. He actually writes for two papers, and yeah, they're somewhat small town publications, but it's still extremely cool. He wants to take pictures and put them in the story. That means I have to rush to get things camera-friendly, but I think it's just the push I need to get things wrapped up.

Because of this, the release of part 5 of "The Making of Sonic Clang's Studio" will more than like be delayed a few days. :) which I'm sure you're all very upset about. But think of it like this, I'll have lots of footage of this final rush to finish and it'll make a great ending to the whole series to show a reporter interviewing me and taking pictures. And I'll include a scan of the story. :)

Make sure you have your taxes sorted out. A friend of mine was pictured in a newspaper for a band that was featured and he got in some trouble for not paying taxes. It cleared up eventually, but it was a sticky situation for a bit.

(He hadn't made more than $1000 in the year or two it had been up.)

That's actually one of the things running through my head right now. Also I never got the final inspection on the studio because I'm not actually done with it, and the city might come after me about that.

I haven't made any money on the studio yet so I don't think the tax issue will come into play here. Well, I've made some money this year, which I plan on claiming on my taxes, but I've spent WAYYYYY more on equipment than I've made. I'm deeply in the red as of right now.

Don't mean to be a buzz kill but make sure your deadbolts are working. There are scum out there (even in small towns) who might be interested in what they see pictures of in the newspaper.

I've already thought about that. :) I've installed security cameras on the outside of my house at both means of entry.

I e-mailed the local building inspector this morning to ask what I need to do to make sure my building complies with all codes and what I need to do to make sure it's permitted correctly.

I'm going to call a tax attourney today to make sure I haven't missed anything with taxes. That way if someone from the state does call I know exactly what to tell them.

I don't want to pass up this opportunity, but at the same time, I need to make sure I'm not screwing myself.
