I think I'm a little luckier then many other Homers, I have more then one room to use in my house to track in.
Soon, I will be tracking drums again, in my living room.
The first time I recorded drums, we set up and I just miced them and hit record.
They did not sound all that good.
The second time, I bought portable clothing racks and draped blankets and comforters over them, creating a kind of ISO booth out of blankets. This improved the sound a lot, yet still not all that great.
So, attached is my living room, what do all of you think I should/could do to TEMPORARILY improve the acoustics of my room to track drums and other instruments in ?
All comments welcome.
