Live vocal effects

My sister is looking for some neat vocal effects to use live,
preferably also multi-part harmonies. Digitech vocalist live 4
was suggested. Are there any other decent options?
Would any software compatible with mac work nicely?

Hi Joachim,

If you're looking to go the computer route you can get a ton of VST plugins for effects totally free. Do a google search for vst effects. Most DAW software is compatible with VST plugins. There are lots of great options for the mac - you may already have one of them. Although I don't necessarily recommend it (having never used it) I know garageband is vst capable.

I'm pretty sure garageband only supports Audio Units. A wrapper would be necessary for VST plug-in support

Oh My bad. You're correct. Sorry for the misinformation Joachim. I would still suggest VST + DAW if you're looking for an alternative to hardware.
