Between being and nothing
So, I've made some live tracks available on my page at AL for your enjoyment and/or drubbing.

This coffee house where I occasionally perform will, for a small fee, create CDs of performances. So I took a CD, I created wave files, did some eqing (like, upping the bass and the treble, and even the mids), and added a stereo effect. HOPEFULLY, they'll make the recordings sound better. I was proud of my performances on them (although, in some aspects, they could have been better, but, well, I wrote ONE of those songs that very day, and I hadn't worked on the other one in a while, so...), and as you'll hear, the audience liked them too. Hopefully you will too (or, at least, get a good laugh out of them - yes, I know there's a lot of background noise on them...grrrrr...)

The songs are called Two Damn Real and Ten Years On. Completely differing styles of music. Both are on the top of my page at Artistlaunch.com

Enjoy...I, er, hope! :o

How did you record it? it sounds a lot like the PA was being recorded rather than the mics you were using (presumabley).

And personally id get rid of that stereo effect as its sounds really strange, and EQ the same both channels. Its just the left channel im hearing pops and wind noise in the left channel and the vocals nicley in the right. Needs to be a bit more even if you ask me. If you were to reverb it you could get a nice feel to it without strange EQ. A warm space/warm room reverb would probably work quite well with the reverb on the recording.

If you wanna get a decent recording of your voice, I'd get an aux off the mixer for the PA on a tape or MD recorder, and you'd also get less ambient noise as well.

Yep, that's exactly what it was.

Interesting...I'll have to look into that. I know it did sound like rather "effect-y" on one of my tunes.

I'll try that...

i thought the crowd noise was kindof cool, it added something for sure. Yeah i'm not a fan of the uneven channels for a live mix. I would really like to hear your stuff in a studio setting.
