Hey guys. I've been trying to get some of my material posted here for ages, but I haven't been able to upload anything, but recently I found this file on my server and thought I'd share it with you!

This is a song I wrote ages ago! It only has guitar on it but it's really catchy and still one of my favourites. Let me know what you think!

It sounds like something I'd write when I was 12. I'm not here to insult, but it's not really a song. :P

For recording... since all you have is guitar keep away from the direct until you know how to use it. It doesn't sound very good.
 
Direct, huh? And er, well I was 14 when I did that. It was more of a break from some of my other stuff so it isn't very long etc...
 
Yeah I know. And I'm quite happy with what you said, really. It's constructive critisism. I hate it when people just come on and say stuff like: "it's crap give up guitar mate" or stuff like that! So thanks. anyone else like to comment, or are you too scared to listen to it now? :p
 
this sounds pretty gud dude! cant put my finger on anything it sounds like but its a damn gud tune. id say write some words for it and you'll have a better tune than most out at the moment. very feelgood.
 
I think you can relax when you post on this board. I don't think you will ever get any comments like "give up guitar". The "recording" is pretty bad though. It's mostly just too loud and the rhythm should be lowered when the lead comes in. Does'nt sound like much effort or thought went into it. The question is, after you make the guitar listenable, can you make a song of it? Keep workin at it. (I know you said its an old recording)

definitely not bad for a 12 year old, hell I've recorded worse in the last year (but I suck).
