There's nowhere obvious to post this question so I'm gonna do it here where all the clever people hang out

I want to do a little bit of in-ear local monitoring in my live setup. What I want to do is use a little mixer in between my vocal mic and bass guitar and the front of house. I want to make a little headphone mix of those two whilst sending a signal to the main desk. The question is, are there any pitfalls of this? And if I use the main mixer outs, can I plug them straight into the onstage multicore or will the signal be too hot to send like that?

Thanks guys!

Errr ... and I'm going onstage in two hours so I need a rough idea of "yay" or "nay" pretty sharpish!

Should work okay. You will be degrading the audio slightly, but I don't think it will matter much for a live situation. I've done a submix of drums on another mixer and bounced it into two tracks on the main mixer before, no problems.

Nice one. If anyone has thoughts on this for in future, please put them. But for now, I'm off to get this gig out of the way. I'll let you know how it works.
