I recorded this live in multitrack then took it home to mix later. When I listened to each track playback, I discovered that the lead vocal track had this terrible distorted rattle or sizzle noise in the high frequencies. Since my recording levels were all correct, I couldn't figure out where it came from. I finally called the HOF sound guy to ask if he noticed anything out of the ordinary that day. He said, yes, he had been hearing that noise for the last few shows and blamed it on an old worn out vocal mic.
Anyway, I worked really hard to filter it out without ruining the lead vocal track. (It was really bad.) You can still detect it a little bit, but it works for youtube. Let me know what you think.
