Okay. Here's the scoop. We have about the largest karaoke show here in this area and I have had numerous requests for live recorded cd's. However all I can get is an okay sound for the finished product for a few years now. Using a Presonus 16.4.2 desk, sennheiser e838's and a dry recording going to the computer.. And I am aware of the eq tips, compression, effects etc. Getting this nice tight sweet vocal is more than difficult on some tracks and I am sure some of you know all karaoke tracks are not created equal. (some are just terrible). However I was scanning through the tv the other day and came across one of those singing talent shows. I swear this was the same track I have been working on for awhile now. It sounded like a finished product! I know this is television and I know those engineers are amazing when it comes to that type of thing but Im not a dummy myself and dealing with more than capable singers this should be not this big of problem.. the recordings sound good but. Im looking for that BAM effect, nothing real fancy just a nice sound for people that come out to our show.. Anything I am missing or anyone that could be helpful would be appreciated..
