Whats the best RAP MIC??!
Whatsup guys. I did not know where to post this, but considering the guys in here are so knowledgable I will let you guys try, Anyways my friend wrote a song and recorded it at this kids house whom he calls his "producer" Anyways the kid is a joke and made the worst piece of garbage mix I have ever heard. I told my friend his song is awful and he began to beg me to mix it for him if he gave me the WAVs. I listened to the song and decided I do not have a hundreth of enough skill to make this song listenable, but you guys might. So bottom line, if I get the wavs for this terrible song, could anyone give it a try to see if they could fix it at all and make it not make people want to kill themselves? I hear a hissy loop and a vocal mangled by autotune. Where's the song?

The funny, and yet sad thing, is that even with Autotune, the vocals are off-key all over the place...!!!...not to mention that the seriously overused Autotune "chirp" effect that's on just about every R&B record these days...
...is even MORE seriously overused in this song. :rolleyes:

I would first strip out at least half of those Autotune "chirps"...but my suggestions is be "original" and leave out ALL those stupid "chirps" altogether and just SING THE DAMN SONG! :D

Of course...the singing has to be in-key.... ;)

hhahahahah listen man you are preaching to the choir. I thought that the "producer" set the autotune in the wrong key but is that just my friends vocals??? I am still waiting for him to send me the files, as soon as I get them I will post them on here. We should have a contest, to see who could make this song the best! Of course, I don't even think Massive or Bluebear could fix this...HARVEY where are you!!!??

They are certainly off-key.

If the "producer" did that...tell him not to quit his day job! :p
It's just too easy to hear the off-key...surprised he didn't.
 
Hey!! Yeah man he got mad and took it off. Here is what he sent me though even though I asked for all different tracks. To be honest, they both are so stupid that I asked for the wav files all the different tracks dry and stuff but he is too stupid so he just sent me the vocals mp3 and then the music mp3. I mean, feel free to try but I feel like its not going to be worth your time. I guess the beat overall can stay, its just the vocals are so bad that they actually NEED autotune. HAHHAHAHHAHAHA. Listen guys I know. This is the best piece of music ever written. I was shocked at how good it was myself. Now I know this song basically mixes itself its so good, but if anyone has any attempts on this, post em! aahahahah. Currently I am bringing up the kick a little bit to give it a little bit of a thump
 
I tried fixing the vocal in sonar but my gawd he's about as far away from the tone as he can get..

so Ive came upwith this, cut out all the vocals and gave it a slick over mastering;)



all joking aside he just needs to get someone else to do the singing...his rapping isnt all that bad...though mention that he should mute the speakers when singing in a mic next to them :)

WOW DUDE NOT BAD AT ALL! and yeah, I might just re record that driving chorus part with the terrible autotune for him because my voice is much better than his hahah. I hope he dosn't get mad :p lol
 
i was only mucking about...but the backing isnt bad at all...you could do something with that
 
Yeah. I am working on it. Those singing verses are so hard to get in tune lol.
 
Heh... I like it, but the cha-cha-clap bit is too loud and I think should go before or at the same time as the bass drum thump (which there is nowhere near enough of).

I'd love to have a go at this, since I'm still learning but I doubt I'd have the time. Just out of interest, if I do get a rainy day here - where are the wavs of the individual instruments?

Oh and just dump the singer and get a new one. :p
I can't sing either, so I delegate. :cool:

hey doc...you mention gun shots in a track...lemme know if you need real samples of shots...i have loads


that piece is never getting tuned mikeeb...its nothing to do with autotunes key...its tracked out of key...get him to re do the verses, no effects, and get him to either turn the monitors off or the volume in the cans down

get hime to record each verse three times then compile one track out of them...then use autotune..sparingly ;)
 
well I did my best to mix the song to his specifications. I did not receive any of the individual beats, nor did I receive any different tracks. The only thing his idiot producer sent me was a mixed vocal and a mixed backing track. This is the absolute best I could do with what I was given. There are a few parts that I am unsure about, but if you guys could give me advice on how to change it, id appreciate it. Thanks and here it is


NOTE:: The original song was awful. I did my best to make it sound less awful. It still sounds terrible, but I hope at least the quality and song were improved a little. Lemme know what you think. Thanks
