This is the first one I've done in a while. How is the balance on your system? I did the mix then added vocals so they sound a bit cold maybe...

Anyway all comments & suggestions most welcome

I really enjoyed listening to this. How did you go about to record those liquid-guitars? It sounds very good to me. Maybe a bit more punch in the snare, but not necessarily.

This sounds pretty good to me. I really like the drums. Could maybe use a little more snare power, but that's a minor thing. Love the warbly oscillating bass effect. Guitars sound dark and menacing. I think the rhythm guitars can come up some, but it all mostly works to me. I think the vocals sit in fine. My only complaints would be the beat change in the middle. It's kind of messy and sounds like a bad edit. Doesn't flow. Maybe that's the point, but it just sounds kind of weird to me. And overall it lacks some of the bigness and fullness of what I remember coming from you. Sonically it's just right for your style, but it doesn't seem to have as much "stuff" in it, for lack of a better word. Overall it's good though.

That was pretty cool. I can't really cite any critiques. A bit on the strange side for any of my usual criticisms around here.

dainbramage - Thanks for the listen. I mucked around with a Vocoder patch on my synth, ran the drums into it then played over the top

Greg - Yeah that edit is weird. It sounds OK with the drums solo'd but you're right it needs some tlc. I was going for a bit of light of & shade with sparser fill-in bits to try & contrast with the beefier sections. I think you're right on the snare & rythym levels, so some tweaking still required. Cheers man

Trip - That's simply not good enough. No wonder America is in the state it's in :)

VomitHatSteve - Thanks for the spin

wow, this has a really late 80's industrial feel about it...really enjoyed it

had a real drive about it...loved the drums constant flowing repetition...

Wow - it's really refreshing to click a link in here and get something original, good, rocking AND twisted. The other guys who responded positively all have similar qualities in their stuff - so you are doing something right :-)

Awesome. I always love your stuff and this is no exception. Filled with bizarre effects that probably shouldn't work together, but do.

Drums and guitars in particular sound great.

The breakdown right in the middle and again at the end sound kinda messed up, which is too bad 'cause the part leading up to that is prett badass and there should be some catharsis there. Great tune. Thanks for posting it.

chuckduffy - Hey thanks a lot man, glad you liked it

heatmiser Thanks for checking it out heat. Always good to get your comments. And just for you I've removed the offending mess in the middle, although I did leave it on the end as I can't be arsed doing another ending

I have to be honest & say the intro reminded me of the pre KLF (Dr & the Tardis) cover of the Dr Who theme. Therafter it didn't and sounded like YOU. The change is a REAL change isn't it? Brutally so then back to it.
I like!

Cool.... cranking it out on my system and a pic just fell off the wall :laughings:...( loose hanging nail, so it falls off all the time) I love the fuzzycrunchy synth sounds you get....vocals have a Marylin Manson sound to me which I dig...nice.

rayc - I went & had a look at that Dr Who theme, hadn't heard that one before it's pretty cool. Thanks for the listen ray

heatmiser & chuckduffy - you kids play nice now

queepy - I'm just pleased to be part of the general mayhem at your house. Thanks queeps

This is really cool - I can kind of see where queepy is coming from with the Marilyn Manson reference, but from a parallel universe where I could actually bear listening to Marilyn Manson.

The groove on the drums and the bass are great. Are you using any compression on the master bus - it sounds like there is something, which on the one hand makes the mix sound a bit 'smaller' than it could do, but on the other, gives it that industrial feel mentioned. Nice one Bulls Hit.
