Does anyone use Linux beginning to end for their recording? If so what software do you use for what?
My main PC is running Linux and that isn't going to change any time soon, but I'm interested in using it for recording demos (ie. I'll be playing everything and mixing it down to burn to CD) with it. Good software synths, etc. are a definite plus, but I'm more interested in good multitrack recording/editing and MIDI software. So what software do you use for what? Are you happy with it, or do you find it lacking. It doesn't need to be free either, if you've found something commercial that runs on Linux that you love, let me know, or if you're running software for another system using WINE, Crossover Office, etc. thats OK too.
