Looking for links to songs (with vocals) that anyone has done on there digital multitrackers. There may be a place to post these already that I don't know about. I'm shopping for my first recorder (8+ tracks) and just would like to see what the different machines sound like etc....

Thanks!

...You might wanna check MP3 Mixing Clinic in the other side of this BBS. There's alot of members posting their songs. Or, go www.nowhereradio.com and do search there...

Mike-you're song sounds awesome! What machine did you use? How many tracks total? How did you record it? Would you buy the same machine today or is there something you know now you didn't know when you bought the one you are using today? Thanks for the help!

Thanks, I appriciate that. That particular tune was tracked on a pair of ADATs, transfered into computer through a MOTU 2408 mkII to edit. Now I've retired the ADATs and put an Alesis HD24 in its place. For the way I like to work, it's the only way to fly.

...recorded on a C-Port, direct into PC, mixed with Nuendo.

Meshuggah, I really dig those tunes. And your choise of recording gear is superior!:D

Thx!.. I learned from the best ;) :D

I expose my ears to "Back At You" as I write... You know your shi-ejt, Mike! :)

I've recorded stuff digitally before by way of standalone units or in combination w/ analog mixers etc, but I just posted a thread for the first song I've ever done entirely on computer-based DAWs in the MP3 Mixing Clinic. The thread can be found here: http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?threadid=72209

Any comments either here or in that thread would be greatly appreciated, it seems to be somewhat ignored thus far.

Done all on a computer PIII 1 ghz, 384mb ram, SB Live Value soundcard, using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and a Midiman Audio buddy preamp. I’m a relative noob at this stuff, so this just goes to show you it’s possible to get something that sounds decent. The hardest thing to learn was the CW PA9. :D
