hey guys i would like to link two pc's together. I use one for production and one for recording. How can i achieve this?

Also, can i use my pc as a mass cd duplicator (and by this i mean burning like 25 to 50 cds at once)? Please someone, let me know if this can be done.

All you need to link to PCs together is a LAN card in each one connected with a crossover cable.

If you think you might want to extend your network in future, you can link them together using a hub or switch

I have done this but the sound doesn't travel. am i doing something wrong?

Hardware wise... yes. Software, well, I don't know. You can daisy chain SCSI CD-RW to some ridiculous number of devices, but the cost would be prohibitive.

It doesn't necessarily have to be software based. But it would be great if i could use for example a standalone cd player and have it connected to various cd-r drives through a pc. think thats possible?

You need to map your drives so each machine can see the other's disks.

If your speakers are hooked up to one PC, you can use that pc to open a wav or mp3 file on the other pc and play it through its speakers
