Linking 2 FD-8's?

Hello all,

I'm selling an FD-8 on ebay and got a question from a potential buyer concerning linking two FD-8's together to get 16 real tracks. Does anyone know if this is possible? I don't know too much about this, but it sounds like it may be possible to use the midi inputs/outputs to keep the timing of the two FD-8's in sync, but I also don't know if it would work to send the "record" or "stop" signals. The buyer currently has an FD-8 with a external zip and the one I'm selling has an internal 4.3GB hard drive, I don't know if this would cause any issues with different access speeds, etc.

Thanks,
Brent

they can be linked via the midi sync. set one to slave and the other to master. the fd8 can also do mmc, but that's something i've never had success using. storage media matters not.
