Most guitar amps don't have line out so u have to use the attenuation box
What sounds better or closer to a speaker mic sound of a amp

1.) using the line out of the amp?
2.) or using a attenuation power box??

What would be better sounding and why?

What is a really cheap speaker/power attenuations boxes please?

Most amps don't have line out jacks so how can u convert a combo amp w/ speaker to a LINE OUT JACK?

Is there a device/box that makes any combo amp have a LINE OUT JACK??

Is there a cheaper box that just CONVERTS any amp to a LINE OUT?
im not really looking to power attenuate the amp like eddie van halen brown sound

I just want to CONVERT to a line out but how or what to use???

Do amps WITH LINE OUT jacks shut OFF the speaker or not?
or does it just keep the speaker on at the same time??

Because im trying to shut off the speaker also and just take the line out

Is the line out jack the same as the preamp send ? or preamp out jack??

I need a "standby" switch for the speakers in the combo amp so it turns them off the only audio comes either out of the line out jack or sends

but is the line out jack the same as the pre amp out or sends? or power amp out?

If a guitarist came in with 5 different amps and they all didn't have no LINE OUT JACK how can u record this guitarist without micing him what would u use to make it have a line out jack??

my friends hate amplitube, guitarig, Pod, v-amp , roland GT-6, Zoom modeling, korg modeling

They want that line out jack on the amp with speaker turned off but HOW and what to use please?

whats the deal with these really pricy 5watt,10watt,15watt recording amps?

why would i want a 5watt,10watt,15watt recording amps? what does it do different?

How does it help out the record by using a 5watt,10watt,15watt amps??

I've owned many amps and combos and they've all had line-outs, I think you're picking the wrong amps. Buy the equipment that suits you, don't buy some crap and then work around it.

Do amps WITH LINE OUT jacks shut OFF the speaker or not?

Depends on the amp. Usually not. The headphone socket shuts the sound off for obvious reasons, but I can't think of a single reason why you'd want to line-out and kill the speaker. Can you explain?

but is the line out jack the same as the pre amp out or sends? or power amp out?

No, it outputs a line-level signal, I think you should read up on your inputs and outputs before you start working with these things. I've only been recording a short while but this is basic knowledge. Or maybe I'm missing the point?

The, erm, third question though... I generally get better results recording through single speaker 'practise amps'. I recorded my band (layered) using a 15w guitar amp for all the guitars and it came out great, better than using a big cab & speaker.

You'll get better answers on this forum if you use 'please' and 'thankyou' instead of asking questions bluntly. Also pick your forum wisely, this has nothing to do with mixing or mastering.

//edit : I've just noticed your post count. Am I going mad?

Yes so u can sing vocals without wearing headphones when playing in a live band so no bleedthrough

IF your trying to sing into the mics the speakers turned on bleeds through the vocal mics and i have 3 vocal mics so its alot of bleed through trying to record band resherals

So the line out with the speaker KILLED/stand by will be able to sing vocals and play as a band and be able to record the bass line out, guitars line out, vocals no bleeding at all, everyone wearing headphones but were are using combo or half stack amps instead of digital modeling pods

I checked all my friends amps and all of them don't have any line outs on them

5watt,10watt,15watt

1.) Full tube statuation
2.) They are mostly Class A circuit tripology
3.) More SAG compression??? and why??

I heard Duana Allman used 50watts amp heads because he said it had more compression but why does lower wattage amps have more compression?

Less watts= more compression

I don't think he was taking about the Rectifier SAG compression i think he was talking more about the lower wattage has something to do with the headroom rail to rail voltage, power, current SWING compression??
