Ok, I have a creative labs soundcard that has a "Line In" (1/8" pin jack)

I have an M-Audio DMP-3 2 channel mic preamp (only using channel "A")

Line out into an RNC (Really nice compressor)

Line out into a Boss NS-2 Noise suppressor pedal.

Out of the pedal into the Line In on my soundcard.

It's only coming out of one side, so I unplugged the pedal from the chain and ran a "Y" cable (2-1/4" to 1/8" Pin) from both outputs of the RNC and still got the same results. I am lining out of channel "A" on my preamp to the "Left" (Mono) input on the RNC.

How can I split the signal evenly"? Mono?

the line in on your soundcard is stereo, not mono. record only the right or left channels

$ .02

second best solution....
youl need a 1/8" trs jack (stereo phone lookin) to 2 x1/4" ask for a "Y"cord...
best solution....
LOOSE the SB.... if you dont now if you stay with recording you will eventually as they really are just gamer stuff.... dont beleive me do a search...

I should explain that I am using the mic for winamp Shoutcasts, Internet radio streaming. Quality is not really that much of a concern, but I was hoping I could achieve a better mic sound. The problem is I believe, is that the mic preamp outputs in mono, meaning I cannot get a stereo signal into the RNC to output into my soundcard.

It's the only reason I can think of? I have a stereo 1/8" pin jack Y cable to two 1/4" plugs.
L & R outputs of RNC to soundcard

Channel "A" single output to the "Left" (Mono) Input of the RNC.
