Hey guys.
I'm starting to build a home studio and Im lost on which interface to get.
I already have a line 6 ux2 and my opinion is kinda lukewarm.
It sounds great if you plug in an acoustic or a synth, but when it comes to electric/bass it
isn't the cleanest sounding thing in the world.
Maybe it's just because I haven't found the
right sound.
But I am looking for a 8 channel interface for recording drums and ability to record jams (even though I'm gearing toward a more serious recording structure).
I heard the ux8 is a CPU hog and that USB<FireWire. But I'm familiar with POD farm and how the interface works so the transition to the ux8 would be
a breeze.
Then there's the firestudio
i've heard great things about the interface, and it's FireWire.
I don't know a whole lot about it, but it doesn't seem to different than the ux8
in terms of usability.
Which one should I get?
