I was listening to a bunch of Lift to Experience when I wrote this. It's not necessarily their lyrical style, but it just kind of came to me while listening to the music....if you're not familiar with them, they are amazing, so go buy their CD now.............I SAID NOW.

um, yeah, it looks like a bunch of jibberish....but it flows great!

Like the Sun

I will be your diamond
I will give you everything
I will make you sparkle
if you will be my ring

Like the sun

I'm in space and I am lost
random thoughts like apple sauce
knock you out, cankersore
I've been there and so much more

Like the sun, I absorb her
I adore her, like the sun

Sell them used
slightly bruised
in the nude
seldom used
capricorn
uniform
Michael blow my horn

Like the sun, I absorb her
I adore her, like the sun

I will be your diamond
I will give you everything
I will make you sparkle
if you will be my ring

Like the sun.

Dropping thoughts and pick them up
brush them off and dance to love
recliner seats and wax the tops
polar bears and pixie cups

Like the sun, I absorb her
I adore her, like the sun

I get the whole song except one line ... lol

"random thoughts like apple sauce"

That line makes absolutely no sense to me ....

but I like the rest of it .. would love to hear the arrangement you have in mind for this..

is the genre rock ?

Thanks....I have no idea what that line means either...I think after I read it a bunch of times I associated it with a literal interpretation.

Like saying "apple sauce" in a song is just a random thought. Also, I was thinking about someone who lost the capability to think, and his brain disintegrated into a jelly substance/apple sauce.....

but, that me trying to find meaning in my own words, and I'm not even sure if that makes any sense whatsoever.

I don't know what you'd call the genre.....probably "amateur mellow rock" because I have no clue how to really compose or record/produce/mix a song well. Here's the pitiful attempt to record the song today:

yeah I would call it melodic too or prolly acoutic rock ...

I think you did a good job recording it !!! I really liked it ! and it sounded like what I pictured for it in my head too .. :)
