Posted a short acoustic tune that I would like some mix feedback on. I'm not sure about the effects on vocals so please give me a yea or nea on those. I was going to wait posting due to recent discussions on post volume but this was sitting on my pc gathering dust so here it is.

Ashulman,

the Fx is fine, maybe a bit loud (the fx not the vocal).
The drum/perc. sound a bit muddy, but right now i'm listening with a crappy sytem. it might just sound fine on my own speakers

hmmmmm.......I'd have to say nay on the vocal effect. I don't think it fits with this song. It's a preference thing though.

Two Sticks sounds better than before and Brown Song sounds fairly good also.
On both of them I think you might want to use a low-cut and get rid of some of that super-low bassage you've got going on. I think that's probably where the muddiness comes from. Maybe give it a hard cut below about 60hz.
Nice tunes....I like 2-sticks especially.

Lt Bob - Thanks for the tips. My recorder is kind of limited in that it only has a high and low eq on mixing. However, I can dump the tracks to wav files and use a PC program to tweak the eq. Any programs you might be aware of (not too pricey) that would offer the eq capabilities you are talking about?
