"Light In The Sky" Steve Hillage Cover

...here is a cover of a song by Steve HIllage, one of my all time fav guitarist....He played in a band called Gong before going solo in the 70's, annyyyways,this song is from the Motivation Radio album, which was recently re-released/remastered and kinda gave me the bug to try my own twisted version of it....This is the 1st mixdown...I will be adding some more special effects to the end I think...just wondering how its sounding so far...

Not familiar with the original, but I like this montage. Lots of cool guitars going on throughout. The vocals, especially chorus, are uber cool - spoken/sung. The mix sounds solid everything is smooth and even on my speakers... Nice job!

I've never heard this song before, but this is pretty cool. Very funky. My only real nit is that the solo is a little loud and drowns everything out. Pretty cool overall though.

yeah,the original is really cool...the spoken word part is done by a female vocalist, alot different then my version ..my 6 year old son thinks I'm trying to sound like Oscar The Grouch from Sesame Street when I do it !! Thanks for checking it out!!

Ha!...it's actually "A light in the sky"...but Bike in the sky sounds pretty cool!!!

Thanks man! Cool you have heard this before!!I know I have some level issues on this....will tame that crash a bit in the beginning!! "Searching For The Spark" would be killer, definitely a riff fest! ...I gotta get some real synths/keys!

Thanks Greg...when your talking 'bout the solo...are you referring to the end, or, the fills between each verse? They are probably both to loud...I mix like a guitar player .....after hearing this played back on a few different systems...I feel I kinda buried the drums during the ending solo...I will be working on this a bit and post what I come up with..thanks again for the feedback...really appreciate it!!
