i've been thinking about getting myself a decent sound card for recording music at home. i don't really know too much about this kind of thing, so i had to ask here..
what i want to do is to record electric guitar, electric bass guitar, vocals, midi keyboard, and so forth (i plan to use programmable drums to begin with). the "box" needs to be portable, and preferrably with a usb interface, and not firewire. not too expensive as well (about $500), though i have pretty much everything else i need.
any inputs on whether to choose the lexicon omega or any other interface is appreciated.
also, i own a behringer eurorack mx 1602a, is there any way to integrate this into the whole setup (ie. drums on the eurorack, into a separate input on the "new" usb interface?)
thank you,
