Lexicon LXP-15 Version Number Question

Hi all, I just received the Lexicon LXP-15 verb I won off eBay and when I start it up, it says it's Version 2, copyright 1994.

I was going to upgrade this unit to make it a Lexicon LXP-15II by getting the ROM chip, but has this unit already been upgraded to the Lexicon LXP-15II since it states that it has Version 2 software?

Note: I did some searches, and I think I have the LXP-15II, but need to get feedback from someone here who actually knows...

Hi all, I wanted to post my findings here in case others might have this same question and situation I have...

I called Jim Williams at Audio Upgrade to ask him if I did indeed have the LXP-15II and he said I did.

It looks like I made a good score on eBay since it was sold as the Version 1 model. I am now going to send it off to JW and have it modded.

Just passing along info for others who don't know the answer to my first post.

Yep, Just a few hardware differences. The units that leave the factory as LXP-15 II have a slightly different LCD and different style buttons with a better feel, but you have the most important part with the chip upgrade.
