Copying songs from various sources to a single CD
When listening to the results the songs all
have different volume levels
How can I get Sound Forge 6.0 to make all the songs
on the CD play back at the same volume level?

I had the same problems with the levels of volume. I tried doing the "normalize' thing but it doesn't make all the songs the same level. It only makes the louder songs lower and the lower sounds stay low.

No - normalizing will make sure all the peaks hit the same point... butu that's not the same as balancing apparent levels for each song.

There's is no way to do this except by ear, using a limiting tool. A computer can calculate apparent loudness of a song since it is a frequency-dependent value based on the weighted response of the human ear.
