Which programs do you have on your pc that will burn cd's? I use Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator. Nero makes a good one.

Are you sure its extention is .wav?

Yes Its wav. I just use the music match burner to burn cds. I have HSXL 2004 and cubase( I didnt realize it came with my Emu 1820.

That's strange. It should work then. I am not sure what is happening. If it's a wave file, then it should easily convert to .CDA when you burn it to CD, which is the extension for a CD file. Maybe you should check your settings in music match and make sure it's finalizing the disk when you burn it. If you don't do that, it will only play in music match.

What bit is it in?

16?

24?

I'm not sure how to get it back to 16 if it's 24.

But I bet that's the problem.

I thought of that too, but I think it will convert it to 16 bit when it converts it to .CDA, but I could be wrong...

No it won't.You must convert it to 16 bit first.

Actually it depends on the burning program you use. Wavelab, for ex., will burn 24 bit wave files directly to CD and convert on the fly.

However, most need to start with a 16 bit, 44.1 kHz file.

Cunk, if you are recording at 24 bits, you should be able to downconvert when you export the file from HS. Just check the options. Also, you should dither the file when you change the bit rate.

Windows Media Player will also convert 96/24 to 44.1/16 when you use it to burn a CD (although I find the levels are often lower). My preference is CD Architect but any of the main stream apps: Roxio, Nero will also convert.

I have both of these,I guess I need to RTFM.
I can't play 24 bit files in media player either, how do you do that?
