I have a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio. It is white and has faded so that it has a very cool vintage look to it, though only 10 years old. It is also the good studio in that it has an ebony fretboard with large inlays and gold hardware. It has the 490R/498T humbucker combination. The guitar has been owned by a couple different pro musicians and has been played alot. It has scuff marks all over the paint and a small gash by the lowerstrap button.
Here's my situation. I'd like to trade it for a Gibson guitar with P90's, 1 P-90 even. What I'd really like to find is a Les Paul Junior in Vintage sunburst. The flat one with 1 pickup on it.
I just don't need a Les Paul with humbuckers right now. That tone doesn't suit my music. The guitar is great other than that, and I may end up just replacing the humbuckers with P90's. I just thought that possible someone owned a Gibson with P90's and didn't care for the tone of thr P90's. Heck, I'd even do a pickup swap if someone wanted real Gibson humbuckers to replace their Gibson P90s.
Lemme know if this is up anyones alley.
