LENRD Surfaces

Djembes Rock
I have Auralex LENRD's (regular one's, not mega) mounted in the upper corners of my room where ceiling meets the walls. Is it be better to push them up snug to the ceiling or fasten them an inch or two down so that more surface of the LENRD is exposed? From what I've read it seems the more surface exposed the better the absorption.
