Listening to Weight Scale...

sounds well produced. I don't like that keyboard/synth sound in the background. It sounds a little too cheesy, doesn't fit with the rest of the song. The melody line is fine, but it would be better with a less tinny tone. The piano and cello sounds are a nice touch. Have you considered panning the vocals at all depending on who's speaking? I like the voice in the chorus, sounds like a mix between DMX and Petey Pablo. Who is that?

I listened to a few seconds of the other tracks. They sound well put together also. I don't have time right now to go through everything (and I think you'll have a better response if you ask people to listen to one track at a time).

Anyways it sounds good. The web site is good looking too. The guestbook seems to have a problem with the text wrap. There's no left to right scroll bar and you have to select and drag to view any text that extends beyond the normal boundary.

Peace,
Peter

Thank you.
I feel you on the syn. on the backround. I thought about taking it out but decided to leave it there.

The Artist you are hearing on that song is "Gunz" He is an up and coming rap artist.

Thank you again for your imput

I really enjoyed these songs. I like My Shawty the best. The keys in the background give it a cool, dark sound. The chorus is the only part that's lacking -- kinda boring.

I'm not really into this type of music, but I completely appreciate the mix -- very clean and crisp. I also respect the arrangements. Lots of fun. Thanks for the listen.

after clicking thru about 4 screens on the website, all while being assulted with rap music, which I truely hate with a passion, I was not able to yet find the links for the music.

With that, I decided not to go any further. Sorry.. but if it was in line with what was playing as the website loaded, my opinions would basically be about how I hate this kind of music and the lack of talant in performing it, it appears to have. Had I not just listened to another post of rap, I might have clicked the 5th screen and proceeded, but I had had my fill this week with voluntarily listening to this genre.

btw...from what little I heard while loading, it seems in line with what I have heard from similar artists in this vein. Not worse, but not better either. Just the same.

Thanks for your input but no need to insult rap by saying that there is no talent in it. It's unfortunate that you feel that way but I believe there is a lot of talent in rap music. Besides, the site has a mixture of different types of songs, not just rap. Sorry you weren't able to get to it. We've updated the site recently so maybe you should try it again, you may be able to access it this time. Thanks!

Yeah, I have to take offense to that as well. I know it's your opinion, but not every opinion has to be stated.

One reason I like visiting this board is to hear different types of music, even if they're not my favorite. Plus, I give everyone here credit for doing something they love, no matter the end result. I also appreciate being exposed to music I might otherwise overlook.

Speaking of talent, you misspelled it.

Rap on,

G

The website is dope! I'm not really into the music too much though. Not that I don't like rap, I love some good hip hop, but I like stuff that's less... busy/hardcore; stuff like outkasts, tribe called quest, Method Man and the clan, etc. My Shawty is pretty good, but my favorite is Gunz by Gunz. He's a badass. I normally wouldn't like this type of song, but his voice is awesome and the song is nice and dark and has good movement.

I digress...

Rap is talented stuff in my opinion. I used to think that it would be pretty easy to make rap songs, and recently I tried to make a hip hop song for the funk of it (BTW, I'm a rock/jazz guitar player). Putting the music together was pretty easy, but writing the lyrics [not to mention rapping (I'm white:) ], was VERY difficult. Listening to good rappers, I can truly appreciate the talent involved. They work just as hard as everyone else does to make good music. If it's not your thing, then well, it's not your thing; however, if you think rap is untalented, then try to do it your self and see what you think in the end.

Freeztar,

You hit it right on the money. I couldn't have said so better myself. I think because you are a true musician, you know when to apprericate good music and talent. I myself, enjoy all types of music so I know that you are truly sincere when you say this!!
Big ups to you!!!
