Okay, now our band is going to pass out some of our 4-5 song demo cd's to try and get gigs locally. Is there any legal mumbo jumbo that should be on the CD or CD booklet? I've noticed that a CD i have from an Australian band has this on the back...
"This is an independent release. Unauthorized reproduction is a violation of applicable laws."
I'm guessing that
"Copyright 2004 Robert Tait" or something like that should go on there as well...
Not that I'm expecting club owners to try and steel our music, but This CD might also go out for some other little purposes like when people want press kits or random requests.
I guess, basically, for your average demo, is there any generic legal crap that needs to go on there?
Thanks!
