Lead Tone Suggestions

Hello all, I've got a short 1 min. clip that I'd like feedback on. There are two guitars, one clean picking the rhythm melody and the second as an improvised lead idea. What are your thoughts on the sound (tone) of the lead?? good, bad, thin, etc......

There is something wrong with the link. No sound.

I tested the link on both mac and pc platforms, + with multiple browsers and it loaded fine. Anyone else having a problem getting the file to play?

The picked one sounds good. I'd say the improvised one has some frequencies that are grating on me that should be deemphasized. Or mabye it's that it's too thin and so I'm feeling the lack of fullness?
