Recently came across n article comparing Brauner mic with this Lawson mic. The article admitted that it was an unfair comparison for the most part however there were points of similarity and the Lawson was said to have some of the more appealing characteristics of the Braunder. Main point was that the Lawson was a major contender for all around best mic for a project studio with a limied mic collection.
I am curious if this is all it was cracked up to be by the writer/reviewer.
Ultimately, I am wondering about which mic I should get for my project studio. This mic will be only for vocals sinc eveything else I do is midi. At best, I would conceivabely record an acoustic guitar and possibly a percussion instrument or two. That is about the extent of my live instrumnet needs.
For now, my main pre-amp is a Universal Audio 2-610. I would like a mic to compliment this and some musings thereupon might be helpful (might not but what the hell),
