My setup
p4 2.4 g 512mb ram
sonar xl 1
audiophile 2496
roland ep-7 digital keyboard (controller)
edirol (roland) virtual sound canvas 3.2
I`m pretty new to all this . I`ve used the search function here and read my manuals but I`m still just totally confused,so any help would be greatly appreciated. when I try to play or record midi using my roland ep-7 as a controller (into my computer through my audiophile midi in) I have a real latency problem. I`m using edirol vsc 3.2 for my synth ,In the vsc /settings window /performance/ I can lower the response time but then things start getting garbled or just stop.Any suggestions would be appreciated . Also I`m starting to question whether the audiophile and soft synth idea was such a good one. I`d sure like to hear from anyone who is using this setup . I don`t have the funds just now to buy an external synth,is this possibly the way I will have to go. thanks in advance
