Hi, I've been playing forever, and just recently got into recording, so I need all the help I can get.
My setup is a condenser mic, running through a Behringer UB1002, into audigy 2 (inboard kind, no front faceplate) through the line in. Then, line out, back to the tape in of the mixer. I then have the out going to the speakers.
Because I play every instrument when I record, I have to do it one track at a time. Therefore, my intention is to be able to listen to the track playing in the background, and sing/play over top. I've managed to do this, but I have nasty latency, to the point I can't play/sing properly overtop.
The only way to eliminate this is to run the tape in through the mix and moniter the whole, but this creates a feedback loop.
How can I either a)reduce my latency to a bearable level
b)route the mixer (if it's even possible) to allow me to listen to the mic out, and tape in at the same time.
THANK YOU
