Hello everyone,
i just bought a Tascam us 1641 usb interface and the problem is that when i record in nuendo(ver 3.2), i have latency, only to the recorded midi. There is no latency at all to the sound i play with my korg x50 as midi controller
The ammount of latency can vary from small to huge.
I use the latest drivers/firmware from tascam
I googled for this problem and i found two solutions. One was to enable use system timestamp in the device setup and the other solution was to find a file called "ignoreportfilter", then cut it out and paste it one level up in the Nuendo root folder.
Both helped temporarily, i mean for a few minutes. After two or three small recording attempts, latency was growing bigger and bigger...
Any suggestions?

my system is
2.4 Ghz intel core duo 2 (6600)
ram 2Gb
motherboard Asus P5Q Deluxe

i use windows xp pro sp2

Maybe you should try a simpler application, are you sure you need Nuendo 3? Audacity or Reaper may give you better results - although if you've just paid £1000 for Nuendo 3 maybe you should get to know it better before you try something else. What do you think?

thx for the suggestion but i am working with nuendo and the reason that i have posted this thread is to solve a problem and not change my gear
i mean if my car is damaged, i try to fix it before i sell it

What Midi synth are you using? What do you have your hardware buffer set to?

i use my korg x50 as midi controller keyboard with several vst instruments.
i tried every buffer setting i could.no latency at all to what i hear or play.
huge latency to what i record

Not to be rude, but are you using a legit version of Nuendo? Im not saying this to catch you out or be the bad guy, but genuinely cracked versions of software ARE broken and don't aways work as expected. It seems you've tried a lot of solutions and none work, may this be the reason?

If it is legit and paid for, then sorry, and I suggest you try a new ASIO driver :)

i am aware of the fact of the unstability caused by using illegal copies of programs.it is best to use the authentic.
sometimes it is not an option though, for many people...
you think there is no other setting for me to help me?

Try this program:

http://www.reaper.fm/

If you set it up with your usb interface, and let us know if you still get the same problems. Its free, you've nothing to loose.
