Latency-Global Disable?

I'm having latency problems in Sonar. I have an SBLive and a Turtle Beach Montego II. The sync with them are fine, but while I am recording my drums to a previously recorded guitar track there is a big latency problem. When I hit the snare, I hear it again 1/2 second later. It throws my timing off big time. I know there is a Global Disable in Cubase that takes the latency in consideration and makes the latency unnoticable. Is there something like that in Sonar? In the audio menu in Sonar I have the latency down to 10ms.

Are you recording into one card and monitoring with the other? Cause it sounds like you DO have a sync problem between the two cards. If you are playing back and recording through the same card (full duplex) there should be no syncing issues. The latency controls in Cakewalk shouldn't have any effect on this, either. They control how soon a fader movement takes to go into effect, etc. Try using the same card to play back and record if you're not already. Later.
