I RECENTLY INSTALLED THE ECHO DARLA 24 (PURCHASED SECOND HAND) IN MY MAC AV 2800/G3. USING CUBASE VST.
I'M RUNNING A PRESONUS BLUE TUBE TO THE DARLA BREAKOUT BOX AND OUT FROM THE BOX TO MY MONITOR AMP.
ALTHOUGH I CAN HEAR THE INPUT SIGNAL LOUD AND CLEAR, I CAN'T GET MUCH OF A LEVEL ON THE CUBASE CHANNEL INPUT AND
-- HEARING MASSIVE LATENCY!---
WHEN I CHECK THE AUDIO SET-UP IN CUBASE THE LATENCY WINDOW READS 48 MILISECONDS. THIS IS TOO HIGH.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHANGE THIS MANUALLY? AM I MISSING SOMETHING IN THE SETUP TECHNIQUE.
LIKE I SAID , IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD JUST LATE AS HELL.
I HAVE GONE OVER THE HANDBOOK AND DON'T SEE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS.
I DON'T THINK ECHO DOES TECH SUPPORT ON THIS UNIT ANY MORE, SO I'M HOPING ONE OF YOU WHIZ KIDS CAN HELP ME OUT.
THANKS;
CB

Hey i might have an answer for your problem. First off writing in all caps is known to deter and upset some people, and i wouldn't be surprised if your computer is slightly upset at this fact. But in all seriousness make sure you have the very latest drivers for the Darla and go to the latency window and run the auto check thing or just set the latency to around 2ms, anything less and i think there's some problem comes up, check www.echoaudio.com for the details. I hope this helps, i'm not sure if all this advice pertains to the mac but hopefully it will.
