hey all, I've been re-thinking my placement and my whole setup because I think it can get better. what is the best way to deal with a large window in a tracking room? for the last year I've just had blankets over it. I am thinking this can be improved but I'm not really sure. thanks in advance.

What d'you want, better acoustics or isolation?

Thought so. Emm broadband absorbtion to place infront of the window, diffusion across from the window, just keep the blanket, hang heavy curtains. I can't really think of much else.

Do you think a blind would work?

You can change the angle on a blind, would it help much?

I remember reading that you want symmetry. So if you have a window, on the other wall parallel to it, you could put a reflector or something.

Is this right? Or...

Is it not similar to having the celing treated but not the floor?
what I see some people do is to keep the window un coverd but have a diffusor on the opposite end of the room.

you could also attempt making a diffusor out of plexiglass and put that on your window, but i think that would be a bit im-practical.
