Hello, I've been recording some small time stuff on a DAW for a while and then sending the tracks onto my computer for mixing for some time now. But my computer is not up to snuff and once I've got 5 or 6 tracks in a tune (always) it gets laggy and frustrating as hell to try and hear what needs to be done to the song.
So What I'm thinking is selling my DAW and going in for a newer and more powerfull Laptop and a 16 track mixer.
Firstly - Do you think this is a good idea in general? Will a laptop be powerfull/maluable enough to handle recording several tracks simultaneously?
Secondly - I was wondering if anyone could help me out by providing some specs or models that they would suggest.
Lastly - Anything else that you think would be usefull knowledge for me to know before making any final decisions would be greatly appreciated as well.
