Laptop/Firepod Issues

Well, my Firepod came Saturday, and it hooked up to my desktop just fine.

My laptop has a 4 pin 1394 slot, but the plug is a 6 PIN. I used a PCMIA card with 6 pin, and could not record with it. What's the solution here? A 6-4 pin wire?

Yes, you can get 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cables. That should do the trick.
