laptop fan

Hey yall,
I'm running an mbox into an HP 2.4 Ghz 512 Ram laptop. My condenser mic is picking up the fan noise when it kicks on. I want to stay nearby my laptop when I record with out picking up this noise. Anybody faced this problem??? thanks, D

Maybe you can build your laptop in one of those foam padded aluminium cases you can find for 15$ or less and close the lid while recording. (but maybe not too long, pay attention to heat!)
