Laptop as sampler

Hello everyone,
I have a laptop AMD K-6 400Hz with 160 Megs
running win 2000 (optimized to death)
It connected to my studio through Midisport4x4
and right now serve as a midi control center

I was wondering if by adding the new Audiophile USB I will able to use this computer as a sampler too
and i don't mean the new samplers, something simple like the AKAI S1000 or S2000

what do you think ?

I highly doubt you'd be able to get that to run with an AMD K6.
