New hard drive, new sound card, new installation of Windows. I've been a busy boy.
As a project to help me learn how my new sound card works (It's my first upgrade in that area since 1997!), my first project has been to revamp some of the recent instrumental pieces I've done. I started with the two that I hoped would give me the least amount of trouble, "Lapse" and "The Truth About Frogs And Princesses".
For those of you who haven't heard the songs, "Lapse" is a short piece for piano and strings (although the strings just provide a background, more than anything else) in 12/8. "The Truth About Frogs And Princesses" is a sort of Eurodance/videogame type song. I originally did it using sampled instruments from the Super Nintendo.
So, have a listen if you get the chance! Both files are under three megabytes, and neither is currently hosted on mp3.com.

The original versions are on mp3.com, if you'd like to compare:

Let me know what you think, please!
