Laney Pro Tube Aor Series valve amp-help needed

I have recently bought a Laney Pro Tube Aor Series amp, serial number 2937, but can not find any info about it. It is a rather older looking laney valve amp. Does anyone have any info on this particular item (when was it made, specifications, power output etc etc).
 
Does it have an impedance selector switch, or a bunch of different speaker outs? I used to endorsed by them during the AOR timeframe and I still have some.
 
Their website shows they made a series of AOR amps in the 80's. They have contact info on their site. Send them an email.

The Laney AOR series were produced from the mid to late 80's. They featured switchable power supply (110v, 220v, and others) as well as switchable impedence out (4, 8 and 16 ohms). They also have the "pull" knobs on the bass, mids and treble for large boosts.

Technically they are single channel, but you can use a footswitch to go between a clean and distorted setting which will share the same EQ.

Overall they are pretty good amps that don't cost a lot of money. I had one for years in the late 90's up until fairly recently.

There were a few different heads in the series. Not all of them had the cascading preamp that was foot switchable. The ones that were produced in 1990-1993 did not have the impedance selector, it had multiple outputs.

I have most of the schematics, but I need to know which one you have. The amp changed 3 time before the name did.
 
It's almost as if Laney doesn't want to admit they ever made these. I have the model that is set to 120v, 8 ohm speaker, DI output, effects loop, footswitch with "tip" = boost and "ring" = reverb. Serial number is 1924...

I'm not even sure the thing has the correct tubes. The output tubes have no markings on them at all, and the preamp tubes only have 5529 on the glass, which I can't find anywhere.

I'm trying to rebuild this one. The schematic would help tremendously. Need to test the tubes, replace the speaker and fix the reverb unit.

I had a Laney AOR Pro Tube lead in the late 80's......I always liked the sound alot...it had a pull low boost on it that was way over the top.

Mine actually got stolen and then was recovered about a month later in the field behind my house????? It was filled with mud and had been out in the Oregon rain for weeks (it was about November).... My freinds brother found it and decided to clean it out with a garden hose :eek: :eek: I got it back and let it dry out for a week or so while i cleaned it up. I figured it was a goner and had already replaced it with a marshall.......Anyway one day I got the balls to fire it up....I plugged it in and stood back waiting for it to blow up or something!!!!!!!! NOTHING...IT WORKED PERFECTLY!!!! Unbelievable...I actually played it for about a year after that and ended up selling it for 2 marshall 4-12 cabs :D Never had a problem not even a bad tube......

So I say get one...their built like a tank.
