Hi guys... I´m planning to buy a little amp for recording some stuff at home...

I was tempted by the LC-15... Any comments?

Thanks!

I think the Laney LC 15 is one of the coolest portable tube amps out there...I put a Jensen reissue speaker and a couple of JJ tubes in it and it was ready to go...great overdrive tone...not a ton of tone flexibility...cleans are probably not loud enough for anything but practice/small room applications, but the OD tone/volume is plenty good...small footprint and easy to lug around.

Including the speaker and tubes, it was less than $200 all-in, and for what it does, I love it!

Thanks bebop! I´m going to go to audition it next week! ;)

Any clips to share maybe?

Sorry, bro...but you want to play through it with your own rig to make the decision anyway...

Good luck!

i had a laney Lc-35 with an expansion cab it rocked.

Beyond that, if you played it and liked it, look around at amp's that have a similar price tag and play them too. Other people opinions are great, but remember, yours is the only one that counts. It's your music make and play it the way you want.

Incidently if you already have a higher powered capacitor amp and you still want to record with a lowly 15 watter, it may be a sign that you need to get rid of it and buy a tube amp. You obviously like the sound better.
