L-Shaped Room

so I live in a basement where i like to record, and of course, it is L-shaped. I have noticed that my mixes are pretty bassy after listening to it somewhere other than my basement in from of my computer. My question: Is there anything I can do so that i can hear that missing bass, ie rearrange, or should i just learn to compensate? I know what the obvious things are to do (like get a better place) but i'm broke haha.

There's nothing wrong with an L-shaped room, but you need bass traps. The more traps you have, the flatter and tighter the bass will be. It's that simple. The notion that electronic doodads can replace bass traps and other acoustic treatment is a lie. ARC you mentioned is based on the Audyssey system, and I proved it does not do what is claimed in this report:
