Kudos to Sennheiser

I sent my MD541 to Sennheiser service a couple of weeks ago. The little frame around the brilliance switch was busted, and I was paranoid that the screw on the belly of the mic was a bass roll-off switch (like a 441) and it was busted. I got a call from Dave at Sennheiser US service, and he told me the screw just holds the XLR jack securely (duh). Anyway, they checked the capsule (it was fine) and they are going to fix the brilliance switch and send it back for free. How cool is that.

they are pretty good about that stuff. but they get pissed off when you send in stuff because it is cosmeticaly messed up.
