Just received a bunch of stuff from Jon (MSH-1K, MSH-2s, MSH-4, MDI) - only have had a chance to use the MDI DI "box" to this point - simply outstanding piece of gear. I play bass, and most of us who play/record with extended range instruments know how crucial a good DI is to both recorded and live sound. This 2-2.5 inch long DI "box" (or maybe I should just say DI connector) is the bees knees...just great with my 5-string basses - excellent RF response for the low B and very quiet throughout the rf spectrum.

I'm going to wind up ordering several more of these just to put in every gear "bag" or rack I own. Nothing like having a solid, dependable DI that will fit into your pocket (well, you could actually fit like 4 of them in your pocket) on hand whenever you need it. Kind of redefines the "rig in gig bag pocket idea"!

Anyway - great work, Jon....appreciate the innovation and superb value.

Those DI units look enticing. Good to hear that someone's having success with them.

I really hope the mics I ordered from Jon show up soon. I'm starting to get a little worried.

Mine took about 4 weeks. Haven't had a chance to test drive them yet.

Mine also...

Took 4 weeks. I think he's fairly swamped right now (which is really a good thing). I'll report back on the mics when I get a chance to really use them - the MDI is (as I said) really a great tool.

I just got a couple of the new MSH-2s and MSH-4s (among other stuff). They arrived today, and I'm up to my ears cloning a bunch of failing hard drives onto new drives before I lose their contents completely, so I'm not in a position to try them until tomorrow or (more likely) next weekend, but....

While I haven't tried the new version yet, I have one of the original (small capsule) MSH-4s. The sound is pretty cool. I can't wait to try the new model.

Good to know...thanks guys. I have a pair of the very first MSH mics and I like them so I'm eager to get these new ones.

Got a chance to play with the pair of MS-2's tonight. Ran them through a Davisound TB-10 just cracked to about 9 o'clock.

We're VERY happy. :D

Really cute and lotsa fun. Not boomy at all 6" from the soundhole of my D-35L. Couldn't really find a bad sounding placement anywhere in front of the bridge. Could get pretty dynamic playing just moving the guitar back and forth a bit. Nice crisp/balanced sound.

Great value. Again VERY HAPPY.
