Okay, I think I'm going to do it. I'm going to order two KSM32s. I'll use them mainly as drum overheads, but also for recording my saxophone, acoustic guitar, and vocals.

If you mainly want to use the mics just as overheads then instead of buying the KSM32's I'd check out a pair of AT4033's which will do the same for less ( a pair will run you around $500 or so ) and sound just as good.

I work in high end studios all over the world and even when I am at a studio with a quater million dollar mic locker, I bring my own KSM32s in case they do not own a pair. The KSM32 is very vesatile and sounds great on many sources. It actually beat out a Neuman U47 for vocals on one project I was doing. I like the KSM44 a lot as well but the KSM 32 amazing me and very often beats out the 44 in mic shoot outs.
