KRK VXT monitors

I walked into GC last night with the intent of buying a V series set. The guy came back and said the the whole series was N status meaning they were not planning on carrying more in anticipation of a new product from KRK. Apparently the news just came in on the 27th of March from Musikmesse in Germany. Here is the page on the KRK site. They based the design on the flagship Expose models. It has a rounded front for better imaging and a pure silk tweeter, along with "tamper resistant switch covers to protect against others changing your personal settings," which I'm sure is a sizable problem for many engineers.
MSRP is 399, 599, 799 for the 4, 6, and 8 inch models. Listed at online vendors for 300, 450, 600.
Any comments on what these might sound like? Just a replacement for the V line or head and shoulders above it?

i never really liked the look of them other than the rockit series. these new ones kinda look like toys to me, cheap. like something you would get with some gimmicky shelf system from target or something. but if they sound good they may be worth the embarrassment lol.

Yeah.

Considering they're a brand new loudspeaker that no one has heard yet, they might sound like absolute horseshit, or they might sound like the second coming of Christ, or they might sound like anything in between those two extremes.
