I've just got these today, along with an audio interface a simple Tascam. Jacks are the balanced TRS type.

When the monitors are being used, they don't go to standby mode, it only kicks in after not using them, so that works as planned.
But then i have to manually push the switch on the back of them to get them powered-on again?
I've tried giving them a signal, like starting a Youtube vid or a new song. That doesn't seem to work.

What am I doing wrong?
noro.

FIXED!

The problem seemed to be the factory drivers for the Tascam Audio Interface. Updating the drivers and standby mode works as it should be.

I'll leave this for google reference.

I was about to ask 'WTF'? lol!

I have not even heard of 'standby mode' from Tascam nor the KRK's.

Which models of either were of issue?

I'm guessing it is the computer going into 'standby' mode, not the interface. Disable all 'power saving' crap when using an AI for recording.

I thought I was the one nuts here or the newer KRK's had a new feature. I have a power on/off button. I'm thinking, stand by ????
