Kraznodar Don't Cry

[Bulls Hit]

There's a city in Russia Called Kraznodar Krai with an oil refinery that's been repeatedly pounded by Ukraine. Now ordinary Russians are running out of gas and experiencing the effects of their country's aggression first hand. Not that I don't have sympathy for ordinary folk but harden up Kraznador, don't cry.



If you have any suggestions on the mix, vocals, anything - I'm all ears.

I think it’s a decent song - but the mix is to crowded- everything fighting for the mid range.

Thanks guys, good feedback. I've notched some stuff out of the guitars to give the vocal more room. If you get the chance to give it another spin critique, that would be great

Very Trent Reznor! (I searched forums for the last mention of TR and found nothing since 2024). Have you heard the Spawn Album? This makes me want to play it again

Believe it or not, Kiernan, and this is unusual for you, the mix is too centered and bunched (freq-wise) up the middle. You've got a lot going on but it's a bit too "wall of sound" causing the mix to sound thin and "smaller".

Make the rhythms the feature in this and then take that repetitive vocal and make ear candy out of it. Put one repeat on the left, then the right, then up center. Give the mix movement, width and depth. Stay focused on the beats though, which is traditionally your strong point. Make that rolling thunder big and the engine that drives this piece.

Your vocals/guitars/etc ... are then interspersed to add change, movement, and features to the rhythm landscape.

You've a ways to go on this still.

It's good content, but it is not yet presented to its full potential.
